Each patient has a limited reserve of donor hairs. The number of available donor hairs, which are programmed to resist balding, limits what we can achieve with hair restoration. And because hair loss is typically an ongoing problem, any hair restoration plan will have to account for future as well as present needs. That’s why your donor hairs need to be measured and conserved with utmost care.

At NewLookMD we don’t “guesstimate” the number of donor hairs on a patient’s head; we count them. During treatment, your donor area is measured and trimmed based on the number of square centimeters outlined in your overall treatment plan. No donor hair is ever wasted.

Important Caution!

Some hair replacement clinics promise to “do more with less” by splitting naturally occurring 2-3-4 follicular hair units into single hairs. This unscrupulous practice gives you a thin "see-through" look and may result in little or no growth. Rather than stretching your supply of donor hairs, you end up paying more for what are, essentially, single-hair grafts! NewLookMD does not split natural follicular units into single hairs.
