If you’ve lost your eyebrows to disease, trauma, medical treatments, or aggressive plucking, the same techniques that can restore hair to the scalp can be adapted to restore the full, natural appearance of your eyebrows.
A very tiny strip of hair is removed from an inconspicuous donor area on the scalp. Under intense magnification, the doctor dissects the strip into grafts of just one or two hairs. He then transplants the hairs into minute incisions made with a surgical needle. The hairs are placed with precision, positioning them the way they would naturally grow.
Following the procedure, you might experience some mild discomfort and occasionally, patients experience swelling that is quickly resolved. Over the next few months, the new hairs will shed (this is completely normal) and then regrow from the transplanted hair follicle. As the transplanted hairs grow into their new position, occasional trimming is required.
